I have filed my GC from Employer A , now I have completed 1 year since I 485 is filed. I have an offer from empyer B who is ready to transfer my H1B. Now my current H1B is expiring in Nov and I will be completing my six year in nov itself. If I go with employer B I am not sure for how long my H1B will be extended. Please advise suitable process for this.

This is a shot of emerging cinnamon fern heads. Captured with the Sigma EX 105mm macro lens and 20D, in manual at 1/400 and f/5.6. Shot handheld, lying on my side on a catwalk in the middle of a swamp. I was particularly pleased with the lighting and detail.

I have sent in my I-140 + 485.. SO i hope that they accept the 140s atleast... I hope they dont outright refuse the boxes... Atleast I haven't seen anythin about refusal on UPS website yet ..
Just read that if you have sent one check for 1-140 & 485 then the whole package will be returned and you would have to refile your I140. If you have sent separate checks then they will just return the I485 part of your package.

I'm going to Vancouver for H1B stamping next week along with my spouse. My understanding is that $150 is the application fee but I'm not sure if it is $150 for entire application (H1 + H4) or is it $300 ($150 for myself and $150 for my wife).
Can someone please clarify? and if I need to have separate Scotia bank receipts for myself and my wife?

Hi,
Currently working with Company A, where I have I-140 approved. The employer is willing to file I-485. Also have a better offer with Company B, and have H1B approved. Is it possible for me to take leave from company A (using my PTO) and joint company B, keeping both jobs on H1B status?
As my H1B is valid with 2 companies, and both are for full time positions. Is it okay for me to be actively employed with both companies at the same time for 2 or 3 months? Do I violate any H1B regulation, that may cause denial of I-485 at later stage?

Mine is approved I140. If USCIS doesn't ask for paystub then giving EVL of any consulting firm will solve the problem?
Also, my wife is working on EAD. Can she apply for H1 visa? Will it affect our GC process? I am the primary applicant.
A bonafide job offer is what is needed. You may want to contact lawyer personally and they will be able to guide you in this.

Sorry you cannot claim. You have been a resident of GA, so rent/meals/commutation/laundry cannot be claimed as deductions in Tax return. You never had a home in NY/NJ. You will surely be a RED flag for IRS. Dont do wrong things to get some money. State the truth and be satisfied of the tax return you get.
However, you can surely ask your employer to give a part of your salary as expense reimbursement, which is legal.
Trust me, you get more tax return here in US, than in India.

I have been waiting for EAD for the last 120 days. I had an info pass inquiry last month. I was told that my I- 765 and AP applications are on hold because of back ground check. Please advice can I get interim EAD from Detroit office while my application is on hold. I have info pass inquiry for next week for Interim EAD, will Detroit USCIS office help me out OR just another endless waiting time. I don�t know what to do, I have been out of work for last 4 months because of work permit. Can anybody advice me, what should I do. I have applied for I-485. Thanks

It can be corrected. You employer need to change your base pay to 5500 from mar and it will get paid as regular salary. It should not have to be bonus. Don't worry talk to your employer and its a simple and common adjustment.

This has passed House and I was reading in Oh's site that President will sign it soon. Is it possible to throw in some indirect 485 backlog reduction provisions in there?

There are two sides to the issue : strengthening the domestic workforce through education, research investment etc and then there is skilled immigration. The first half no doubt enjoys unanimous support ... however, when it comes to promoting skilled immigration, it is a pretty safe bet that the anti-immigrant lobby is going to play hard ball (already evident from the SF gate article). Overcoming this lobby is the whole challenge ..
